Football Recap: Lane Takes a Loss

Lane came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Jay Hawks, falling 34-8. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Lane now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jay, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Lane will challenge McKee Vo-Tech/Staten Island Tech on Saturday. McKee Vo-Tech/Staten Island Tech's defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so Lane's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Jay, they will head out to challenge Cardozo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Judges' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
