St. Andrew suffered their biggest defeat since November 9, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Gateway College Preparatory Gators, falling 3-0. The Highlanders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-15.

Josie Kastner paced St. Andrew's offense, picking up nine kills. Kastner got some help from Tilly Streeter and her eight assists. Holly Hornaday controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Andrew's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Gateway College Preparatory, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

St. Andrew's and Gateway College Preparatory should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Highlanders will face off against McCallum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (165 vs. 368). Meanwhile, Gateway College Preparatory (ranked 327th) will meet Pflugerville Connally (ranked 864th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
