Football Recap: Houston County Takes a Loss

Houston County extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They had to suffer through a 43-16 loss at the hands of the Baker Gators. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-0.

As for Baker, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 37.0 points this season.

Justice Baldwin had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 226 yards and two TDs on only 13 passes, while also rushing for 39 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Baldwin's aerial production (118 yards to be exact) went to Riley Renfro.

Looking ahead, Houston County will head out to challenge Samson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baker, they will be playing at home against Northview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
