Recap: Mater Dei Monarchs vs. Windermere Prep Lakers
The Mater Dei Monarchs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 71-47 margin over Windermere Prep. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mater Dei.
Blake Davidson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Barnett, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Several Lakers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malachi Martis, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Samuel Shoptaw was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Windermere Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Mater Dei is on the road again on Thursday and play against Riviera Prep at 3:30 p.m. on December 21st. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Dante Allen and Brannon Martinsen. Windermere Prep will take on Victory Christian Academy in a holiday battle at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday at. Victory Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 622 points over their last eight games.
