North Davidson is 10-0 against East Davidson since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North Davidson Black Knights will take on the East Davidson Golden Eagles in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. North Davidson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.

North Davidson fought the good fight in their overtime game against North Stanly on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Comets 74-69. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Comets are ranked 77th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Coen Miller, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Davis, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 19 points.

Meanwhile, East Davidson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 59-54 to Southwestern Randolph.

This is the second loss in a row for North Davidson and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for East Davidson, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

North Davidson beat East Davidson 73-60 in their previous meeting back in November. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Davidson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
