            It may have taken  ten innings to finish the job, but Marshwood ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Scarborough Red Storm by a score of  10-6. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered  a  6-5  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Emily Hester spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 20 Ks.

 On the hitting side, Marshwood got a  massive  performance out of  Keira Keaveny, who  went 4-for-6 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Keaveny has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Dorthy Ryan, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marshwood  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scarborough only managed eight  hits.
Marshwood is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Scarborough,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-5.
