Volleyball Recap: Peoria Heights Takes a Loss

Peoria Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Havana Ducks. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Ducks when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Peoria Heights sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-20.

Peoria Heights' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Havana, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Peoria Heights will take on Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Havana, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Macomb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
