Softball Game Preview: Parowan Rams vs. South Sevier Rams

Parowan is 1-6 against South Sevier since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Parowan will host South Sevier at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Parowan was able to grind out a solid victory over West, taking the game 9-5.

Meanwhile, South Sevier waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They put the hurt on the Cowboys with a sharp 18-3 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by ten runs or more this season.

Kaitlyn Lynch looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kinsey Parsons, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Caitlin Nielson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

South Sevier hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.

South Sevier's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Parowan, their victory bumped their record up to 3-18.
