Needville took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against George Ranch, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bluejays had just enough and edged out the Longhorns 2-1. This was payback for the Bluejays, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Avery Schwaiger paced Needville's offense, picking up ten kills. Schwaiger got some help from Avery Polak and her 13 assists.

The win made it two in a row for Needville and bumps their season record up to 16-3. As for George Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Needville will be playing in front of their home fans against Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Ranch, they will head out to take on Dickinson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
