Basketball Recap: Ephrata Comes Up Short

Ephrata was the 54-35 winner over Solanco when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ephrata Mountaineers took a hard 62-48 fall against the Solanco Golden Mules on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mountaineers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Golden Mules are ranked 531st).

Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Solanco, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ephrata will take on Elizabethtown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Solanco, they will challenge Cocalico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
