Baseball Recap: Clover Comes Up Short

Clover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Indian Land Warriors, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss last Wednesday.

Clover saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Steigerwald, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Clover's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Indian Land, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Clover will face off against rival Nation Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Indian Land is set to take on their familiar foe Fort Mill at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are on a seven-game streak of home wins, the Yellow Jackets a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
