Bethlehem Catholic and Freedom are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Hawks will take on the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bethlehem Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Bethlehem Catholic had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Northampton on Thursday. The Hawks were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Konkrete Kids. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Konkrete Kids: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Joey Richards, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Bryce Blawn, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freedom). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Pleasant Valley a 7-0 shutout on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.

Freedom also got a great performance from Darien Serrano as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Colin Andrews was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Geovanny Ledee was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Freedom's record is now 5-2. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Bethlehem Catholic couldn't quite get it done against Freedom in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
