Football Game Preview: Crete-Monee Warriors vs. Quincy Blue Devils + Official Tickets

The Crete-Monee Warriors will challenge the Quincy Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crete-Monee will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Crete-Monee hadn't beaten Kankakee on the road since September 6, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Warriors came out on top against the Kays by a score of 27-14.

Crete-Monee can attribute much of their success to Derrin Couch, who threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns.

Crete-Monee didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Kankakee to a completion percentage of just 20%. The Warriors weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.2%.

Meanwhile, Quincy might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Geneseo who claimed the real prize. The Blue Devils were outmatched by the Maple Leafs and fell 45-7. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Maple Leafs 7-0 in the first quarter.

This is the second loss in a row for Quincy and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Crete-Monee, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
