The Black Tigers were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of the Greenmen. The Black Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
Meanwhile, Copley made easy work of Roosevelt on Friday and carried off a 49-26 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Cuyahoga Falls better keep an eye on Bryce Martin. He was instrumental in Copley's win, rushing for 272 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 41 receiving yards and one touchdown. Dane Wininger was another key player, throwing for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Copley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 386 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Copley's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Justin Chatmon and Lucas Tielsch, who racked up four sacks between them. Chatmon is becoming a predictor of Copley's success: when he posts at least one sack the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The Indians got some further help from Hendrix Sickels: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles.
The victory made it two in a row for Copley and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Cuyahoga Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
