Preview: Amsterdam Rams vs. Albany Falcons
The Amsterdam Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Albany Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Amsterdam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Amsterdam earned a 56-48 win over Mohonasen.
Amsterdam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aundray Fowler led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Natale, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Amsterdam's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Chris Tilley got a bit more time on the court (ten vs. his season average of 2.85). Tilley made the most of the opportunity, scoring six points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Albany lost to Niskayuna at home by a decisive 71-52 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Albany can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Niskayuna is ranked 25th).
Amsterdam is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Albany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-10.
