Volleyball Recap: Irvington Vikings vs. Mission San Jose Warriors
Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Mission San Jose Warriors, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Mission San Jose scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-19.
Mission San Jose found their leader in sophomore Evelyn Ho, who had 25 digs and three aces. Ho has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.
Irvington's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Mission San Jose, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-9.
As of now, neither Irvington nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
