Softball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Takes a Loss

If Aubrey Rogers was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Naples two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aubrey Rogers Patriots took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Florida Christian King on Tuesday.

Sofia Ardezzone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Aubrey Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Southwest Florida Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Coming up, Aubrey Rogers will host Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Barron Collier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Everglades City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
