Baseball Recap: Jacobs Starts Season with Win on the Road

Jacobs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Johnsburg Skyhawks 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Skyhawks: they've now won three in a row.

Braden Behrens looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Andrew Deegan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Johnsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Jacobs will face off against Barrington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnsburg, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Central at 6:45 p.m.
