Volleyball Recap: Warren Warriors vs. United Longhorns

Warren was the 2-0 winner over United when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Longhorns on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warren was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made United work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 28-26.

Leah Erb paced Warren's offense, picking up seven kills. Erb were helped by Katelyn Pineda and Gabby Davila, who contributed seven assists each. Finally, Valeria Ceballos kept Warren's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Anakaren Garcia was nothing short of spectacular for United: she had 23 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Garcia has posted over her last six matchups. Another player making a difference was Ashlet Figueroa, who had 16 assists and seven digs.
