Softball Recap: Bristol-Plymouth RVT Find Success

While Bristol-Plymouth RVT's win against Fontbonne Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Craftsmen skirted past the Ducks 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-3 back in April.

The result came thanks to Gabrianna Arrighi's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bristol-Plymouth RVT secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Taryn Geer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT's record now sits at 11-3. As for Fontbonne Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 win against Blue Hills RVT on the 15th. As for Fontbonne Academy, they will take on Cardinal Spellman at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
