Football Recap: Brock Eagles vs. Estacado Matadors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Brock had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by the Estacado Matadors to the tune of 62-13. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three games in a row.
Brody Woods continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 262 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Colt Matlock, who picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Brock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.
Brock's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Estacado, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.
