Baseball Recap: Grenada Chargers vs. Saltillo Tigers

Grenada had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 11-10 to make it six. They fell just short of the Saltillo Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

As for Saltillo, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games.

For Saltillo's part, CODY CARNATHAN tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave CARNATHAN a new career-high.

At the plate, LUKE REYNOLDS was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

While Grenada had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
