Softball Recap: Grimsley Takes a Loss

Grimsley lost against Southwest Guilford back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grimsley Whirlies lost 24-1 to the Southwest Guilford Cowboys. The Whirlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grimsley's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Southwest Guilford, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grimsley will face off against Page at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Page is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Southwest Guilford, they will challenge Cornerstone Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cornerstone Charter also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 10.2 runs per game.
