Basketball Recap: Bergman Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Bergman won the last time they faced Lamar and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bergman Panthers rang in the new year with a 68-57 victory over the Lamar Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Lamar's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendrick Carr, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Carr a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaz Crotts, who posted 20 points and five boards.

Bergman's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.9 points. As for Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.
