Football Recap: Brady Dunning Leads Lanier's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Lanier won the last time they faced Mountain View and things went their way on Friday too. The Longhorns blew past the Bears 27-7.

Ben Vanden Bos had a dynamite game, rushing for 129 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while also catching one score. What's more, he racked up 81.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lanier's defense and their four sacks. Mountain View's QB won't forget Brady Dunning anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Damien Billie Jr got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Mountain View had strong showings from Sean Forbes, who rushed for 88 yards on only 11 carries, and Dara Esamagu, who rushed for 47 yards.

The victory got Lanier back to even at 1-1. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lanier will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will welcome Seckinger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
