Football Recap: Del Norte Knights vs. Belen Eagles
Del Norte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 50-0 defeat at the hands of the Belen Eagles. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.
Belen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasode Harris out in front who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns.
Del Norte's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Belen, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Norte will square off against Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belen, they will face off against Miyamura at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
