Softball Recap: Kaplan Gets the Win

While Kaplan's victory against Ponchatoula wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates skirted past the Green Wave 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Kaplan's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Ponchatoula, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Kaplan will take on Port Barre at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Ponchatoula, they will head out on the road to take on French Settlement at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
