Football Game Preview: Oakland Wildcats vs. Fremont Tigers + How To Watch

The Oakland Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Fremont Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oakland has five straight victories, Fremont has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Oakland barely beat Oakland Tech the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 46-20 margin over the Bulldogs on Friday. With the Wildcats ahead 20-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Fremont's offense. They were dealt a 43-0 loss at the hands of McClymonds on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 891st, while the Warriors are ranked 123rd).

Oakland's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Oakland came out on top in a nail-biter against Fremont when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
