Football Game Preview: Bourne vs. Apponequet Regional

On Friday Bourne will take on Apponequet Regional at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Bourne now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

After a dominant win in their matchup two weeks ago, Bourne were humbled last Friday. They fell just short of Seekonk by a score of 16-19. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.

Meanwhile, Apponequet Regional dodged a bullet, finishing off Somerset Berkley Regional 20-19. The success represented a nice turnaround for Apponequet Regional, who in their last game suffered a tough 7-34 loss.

Bourne have to be hurting after a devastating 6-33 defeat at the hands of Apponequet Regional the last time the two teams met. The defeat knocked Bourne out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at Apponequet Regional with a vengeful fire.
