Volleyball Recap: Kent Denver Comes Up Short

Kent Denver lost against Prospect Ridge Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sun Devils lost 3-0 to the Miners. The Sun Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Kent Denver was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Prospect Ridge Academy work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 27-25.

Austin Duncan paced Kent Denver's offense, picking up eight kills. Duncan got some help from Regan Tierney and her 18 assists. Tierney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Genevieve Forsman was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and three assists.

Kent Denver's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their record now sits at 14-2.

Looking ahead, Kent Denver will square off against Colorado Springs Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they will head out to square off against Colorado Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
