Volleyball Recap: Trabuco Hills Comes Up Short

Trabuco Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sage Creek Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sage Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Jemison, who had three digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Jemison a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Barrion, who had ten digs.

Trabuco Hills' loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Sage Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Coincidentally, Trabuco Hills and Sage Creek will both be playing Carlsbad the next time they take the court. Sage Creek will head out to face Carlsbad at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Trabuco Hills will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
