West Marion put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Our Lady Academy Crescents with a sharp 21-1 victory. Considering the Trojans have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Izzy Pittman was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, West Marion got a massive performance out of Gracie Odom, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, Odom posted four RBI, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKenzie 'Bug' Stringer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
