Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Jordan

Jordan extended their home winning streak to four games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Caroline Masella. The Jordan Falcons snuck past the Leesville Road Pride with a 58-53 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Masella, who posted 32 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Olivia Yancey, who put up 16 points. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Several Pride players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Molly Zuburg, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points along with eight assists and three steals. Zuburg is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reaghan Mueller, who went 5 of 9 en route to 20 points and three steals.

Jordan's record now sits at 6-3. As for Leesville Road, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Jordan will venture away from home to face off against Broughton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Leesville Road, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wake Forest at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
