Softball Recap: St. Teresa's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

St. Teresa can bid farewell to their 19-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the MacArthur Generals. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5th (when they won 19-1).

Avery Harrison made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Harrison was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emery Krieger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Elle Kortte, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.

St. Teresa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

St. Teresa's win bumped their record up to 7-24. As for MacArthur, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

As of now, neither St. Teresa nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
