Baseball Recap: Exeter Township Eagles vs. Pottstown Trojans
Exeter Township got themselves on the board against Pottstown on Monday, but Pottstown never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Pottstown Trojans as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The win was nothing new for Exeter Township as they're now sitting on three straight.
Pottstown's batters probably weren't too happy with Kamren Martin, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up a single walk). Martin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Alex Kelsey and Carter Redding did most of the damage at the plate: Kelsey scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Redding scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Chase Youse, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.
Exeter Township pushed their record up to 11-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pottstown, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
