Baseball Game Preview: Moody Blue Devils vs. Southside Panthers

The Moody Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Southside Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Moody fell victim to Mountain Brook and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 14-0 to the Spartans. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Southside hadn't done well against Sardis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Southside never let Sardis get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Southside and bumps their season record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Moody, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Moody might still be hurting after the 10-3 loss they got from Southside in their previous matchup on Saturday. Can Moody avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
