Football Recap: Douglas County West Piles Up the Points Against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Douglas County West). They claimed a resounding 34-7 win over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. The Falcon have beaten Logan View/Scribner-Snyder the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has come to flipping the script.

Douglas County West was led to victory by Trey Olsen and Nolan Asher. Olsen threw for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes, while Asher picked up 66 receiving yards and one score.

Despite the defeat, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jett Vacha rushed for 97 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Vacha got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.

Douglas County West's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
