Volleyball Recap: Bentley Takes a Loss

Bentley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Head-Royce Jayhawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jayhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Bentley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Head-Royce work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-25, 25-21.

Bentley's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Head-Royce, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bentley will square off against Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Head-Royce, they will face off against Piedmont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jayhawks are facing the Highlanders at the right time seeing as the Highlanders are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
