Basketball Recap: Sulphur Bluff Comes Up Short

After flying high against Campbell last Friday, Sulphur Bluff came back down to earth. The Sulphur Bluff Bears were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 57-56 to the Boles Hornets. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Sulphur Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Boles, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.

Sulphur Bluff will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union Hill at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Boles, they will challenge Cooper at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Cooper has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
