South Garner better keep an eye on Dezariyah Clark. She was instrumental in Chapel Hill's win, going 9-for-14 on her way to 23 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Those 23 points gave Clark a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Beale, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.
Chapel Hill pushed their record up to 24-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for South Garner, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Garner has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 37.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Chapel Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 boards.
