Volleyball Recap: Cozad Beats Hyannis for Their Third Straight Win

Cozad waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hyannis Longhorns.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cozad took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10.

Braelyn Malcom paced Cozad's offense, picking up ten kills. Malcom got some help from Whitney Regelin and her ten assists. Lucha Olvera controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cozad now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Hyannis, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Cozad and Hyannis will both be playing Gordon-Rushville the next time they take the court. The Haymakers will head out to face the Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Longhorns will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
