Soccer Recap: Ironwood Takes a Loss

Ironwood managed to keep up with Centennial until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Ironwood Eagles lost 3-0 to the Centennial Coyotes. Having soared to a lofty 12 goals in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Centennial, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ironwood will challenge Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunrise Mountain will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Ironwood surely won't give up without a fight. Centennial has already played their next matchup (against Kellis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
