Baseball Recap: St. Augustine Comes Up Short

St. Augustine suffered their biggest defeat since March 31, 2025 on Saturday. They came up short against the Pacifica Mariners, falling 7-1. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Augustine got a good showing from Payton Del Toro, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Del Toro has allowed since back in March of 2025.

At the plate, St. Augustine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Miranda, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

St. Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pacifica, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, St. Augustine will take on De La Salle at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pacifica, they will venture away from home to square off against El Modena at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
