Baseball Recap: Harvard Takes a Loss

Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the North Boone Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Harvard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for North Boone, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Harvard will head out to square off against Genoa-Kingston at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.83 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Boone, they are taking a road trip to take on Rock Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
