Basketball Recap: Cinnaminson Takes a Loss

Cinnaminson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 62-52 to the Holy Cross Lancers. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 51-42.

Holy Cross' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmanuel Doku led the charge by dropping a double-double with 31 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Doku has scored at least a third of Holy Cross' points. Jordan Owens was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 18 points and six assists.

Cinnaminson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Holy Cross, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Cinnaminson has already played their next match, an 88-65 victory against Pemberton on the 12th. As for Holy Cross, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-33 win against Westampton Tech on the 13th.
