Softball Recap: Chalmette Gets the Win

Chalmette posted their closest victory since February 13th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Live Oak Eagles. For the Owls, this counts as revenge for the 8-4 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Chalmette's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Live Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Coming up, Chalmette will host Northshore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Live Oak, they will square off against John Curtis Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
