Baseball Recap: Republic County Comes Up Short

Republic County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-5 to the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Republic County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Kendall, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Kendall also launched a home run, marking his first of the season.

Republic County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sylvan-Lucas, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Republic County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
