Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Mt. Clemens

Mt. Clemens had won two straight games and Leah Williams did her part to make it three on Friday. The Mt. Clemens Battling Bathers walked away with a 40-32 victory over the Detroit Community Hurricanes thanks in part to Williams, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 21 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Alyssa Pelione was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Mt. Clemens' win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Detroit Community, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Mt. Clemens has already played their next game (against Hamtramck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Detroit Community will look to defend their home court on Monday against Michigan Collegiate at 5:30 p.m.
