For the second straight game, May River will face off against Colleton County. The Sharks will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. May River is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Monday, May River earned a 6-3 win over Colleton County. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won seven in a row.

Trevor Konte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Chris Beckman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Morgan, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: May River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

May River's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Colleton County, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
