Volleyball Recap: Union City Comes Up Short

Union City lost against Fairview back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Union City was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Union City's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Fairview, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Union City and Fairview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Bears (ranked 146th) will meet Mercyhurst Prep (ranked 307th) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fairview will challenge Seneca at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (94 vs. 294).
